Asia K. Paynes was introduced to and accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior under the leadership of her late grandfather, Bishop Robert L. Hawkins, Founder and Pastor Emeritus of the Redeemed Church of Christ an affiliate church of the Churches of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. 

After more than 20 years of foundational instruction and teaching under his leadership, Asia was led to transition to another dimension of ministry, where she was instructed further and began to embrace the call she believes God has placed on her life.  Upon joining Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church, under the leadership of Bishop Alfred and Co-Pastor Susie C. Owens in July of 1996, she was given the privilege to further fine tune and equip herself to serve the body of Christ through the ministry of “Praise and Worship” and established the first Youth Praise Team. She has sung on three live recordings with Co-Pastor Veda McCoy (Renewed Strength), John Hart & the Ministry Chorale (A Worshipper’s Heart) and HawKings Productions Music Ministry Choir (High & Lifted Up).  She accepted and embraced her call to teach and preach the Word of God, as was Licensed as a Minister in 2010, now birthing the 4th generation and first female preacher in her family. Her outreach ministry work has afforded her the opportunity to speak at “at –risk” teen centers, pregnant teen and young mothers’ facilities and various group homes. 

There is a testimony within her of hardship, setbacks and triumphs that God has seen her through and now given her a message for His people. In October 2006, God birthed the vision for Hadassah Ministries – “The Transformation Project”, a mission for the misled, forgotten, left behind, rejected and hurting young woman…a vision to see these women pursue their dreams and find “life after”.

Alongside ministry, Asia is a Licensed Esthetician…God has given her biblical tools, revelation and prophetic insight to understand that although esthetics and skincare are natural functions, those functions mirror a deeper spiritual process, a deep inner and outer healing to the skin and emotions. (Esther 2:12). She received her Esthetics education from the Paul Mitchell School Esani in Roswell, Ga., and has traveled extensively to gain more education and experience in the beauty and wellness field. In June 2020 (during the pandemic) she started her mobile spa business called, PREP Skincare. She has coauthored two books “Motherhood, Dreams and Success” in September 2014 and “Beauty In the Pulpit: The Esther Anointing, a Blessing or a Curse” in 2019 and currently working on her 3rd book. She loves to travel, read, explore new things and spend quality time with her daughters Brittany Faith and Brianna Monet’.
